Kiwanis of BENV Fundraiser for Children’s Miracle Network and Janet Weis Children’s Hospital
Kiwanis of Bald Eagle & Nittany Valleys conducts a fundraiser for the Children’s Miracle Network (CMN) and the Geisinger Janet Weis Children’s Hospital throughout the month of June each year.
Monetary donations to CMN can be given to any BENV member or dropped off any time at Miller Brothers Auto Sales in Mill Hall. If your business would like to participate by being a collection site or selling Geisinger Janet Weis balloon logos, please let us know.
Please check out some of the new 2024 Miracle Kid videos below, as well as a video featuring Ryan Everett, who we previously interviewed for one of our Children’s Miracle Network Media-Thons:

Looking for a book or two to get your preschooler ready for kindergarten? ✨ Here are some wonderful suggestions from www.pappromiseforchildren.com
We're learning MATHEMATICAL SKILLS! DO IT! With your preschooler, write down special events on a calendar. Discuss when the events are taking place. Use words like yesterday, tomorrow, or next week. Print or draw pictures of special events that can be seen near the calendar. Provide an opportunity for them to put a small star or cross out the days on the calendar to count down until the special event. You can help develop their understanding of time by discussing the days that have passed and how many are yet to come. Use puffy numbers or stickers on the calendar and let them feel the days and numbers of the dates. You can also add the braille word for the day or number. READ IT!
